"Hi and welcome to the site, so to tell you a little about myself"

I grew up in Northern Ireland, the home of 'Real' Road Racing, which I have continued to follow most of my life.

I began riding motorcycles at the age of 16 and worked my way up through the ranks of CC's. I prefered 'mid range' machines  600/400's, in particular the VFR400R, commonly known as the NC30.

I always knew that I had a real want to race motorbikes and it was definitely a case of 'when' not 'if'!

In 1998 I made the decision to undertake short circuit training and so attended a 'Race School' at Mallory Park race circuit in Leicestershire. Where I attended two separate training courses. Due to a variety of circumstances, I never made the move from race school to racing and put it off, for too long!

About four years ago, I finally sourced my dream road bike, a Ducati 748R and got completely hooked on everything Ducati, which remains a passion.

Towards the end of 2007 I found out, totally by accident, about the Ducati Sporting Club racing world of 'Desmo Due'. I did a lot more digging into it and finally decided to find myself a 600cc SuperSport and start racing.

I found a previously raced bike which was no longer in use and a non runner, very rough around the edges is the best description and so I set to sorting it for racing in the championship in 2008.

Over the winter I fully race prepared the bike, joined the Ducati Sporting Club and New Era, in order to qualify to race in the championship and to gain my racing licence.

I was fully 'race ready' by February 2008 and this year sees my third seasons in the DD Championship, with all eyes firmly on as many podium results as possible.
