748R from Road to Track

I have finally taken the decision to take my much loved Ducati 748R off the Road and prepare it for a career on Track.

Had always intended to use it on Track Days when I bought it, but in the end just did not want to take the chance on smashing it up.

Since starting racing, I have become less and less interested on riding the bike on the road, and getting two separate sets of 3 points/ £60 fines in the space of two months, as well as loads of near misses from Kamikaze car drivers just meant ...

Work on 2010 race bike has begun

Work on the race bike for 2010 has begun in ernest!

This years bike has been completely broken down into bit's, most of which are now in a box!

The engine has gone off to be welded after a right side main engine mount was broken during the Cadwell Park crash.

This engine will be fully refreshed as a running spare or sold should finances require it!

I have sourced a fully sorted blue printed engine for next years bike and I'm looking forward to picking it up as soon as I can drive and then ont...

Racing plans for 2010 Season

Plan for 2010 is to complete another year in the Ducati 'Desmo Due' series in Class B with a view to going up to Class A in 2011 or on to another race series.

Cadwell Park Injury 2nd August 2009

Hi Peeps hope all is tickety booh,

Wanted to update you all on my high speed crash at Cadwell Park on Sunday 2nd August.

It really was a big tumble and I was pretty battered and bruised, lucky to get away with only a badly broken left ankle.

I had an operation at my local hospital under general anaesthetic about 10 days following the crash once most of the  swelling and skin damage etc had gone down.
